Turmeric which is also know as Haldi is one of the most commonly used ingredients in South Asian food. This provides distinct color to the food and it also helps making the food safer with its anti bacterial properties. Turmeric has been used for thousands of years as food and for its medicinal values. It is such a potent herb and has so much healing abilities that many companies have tried to patent its use. Let us see few of the benefits of turmeric or haldi.
